Rosella Eating Seed

I am a bird lover. Although I am not  a twitcher as such I do marvel at them. I was just washing bottles for the recycling when a laconic rosella made itself at home on our drive way, finding plenty to eat amongst the weed and seed grasses. It was set upon by one of those awful miner birds: the other swooped in and chirped territorially. ( It is in the miner's nature and why they are in plague proportions.) The rosella brushed it off and continued munching before setting the other bird on its way. Even my clunking of plastic bottles into the bin didn't disturb this most beautiful parrot. The sun is setting down the road so as it crossed a sunbeam from the shadows I was treated to its plumage being set alight in the most wonderful orange red colours.
